Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and first arrived in the United States more than 30 years ago.
I studied law at the Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires and as an attorney practiced Civil and Commercial Law for several years, later on finalizing my studies in the legal field by graduating from the Colegio de Escribanos de Buenos Aires. As fate would have it, shortly after that, I moved to New York City and later on to New Jersey, where I raised my four children and rediscovered the importance of being an active member of one's community. That led me to join the board of trustees of an independent school specialized in serving children with learning differences and later on become a trustee and treasurer for CURÉMONOS - a non-profit dedicated to helping latin American women diagnosed with breast cancer navigate the healthcare system.
All throughout my adult years, from the very beginning as an attorney until this very day, I’ve always been passionate about the visual arts and specifically with that of a Latin American origin and influence. That very passion led me to enroll in New York University, Sotheby’s and most recently Universidad Nacional de San Martín in Buenos Aires to update my professional credentials, pursue a career as an art appraiser and become specialized in Pre-Columbian and Latin American Art. Mosaico was born out of the desire to provide these art forms more of their deserved attention, fair assessment and subsequent valuation in the art world, which will bring many hardworking artists their well-earned distinction.
I am an associate member of the Association of Art Appraisers of America and thus follow their code of ethics along with the United Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). While I am currently working towards being fully certified by the Association, I take part in continuing education which guarantees I am up to date on the latest appraisal practices and standards. Thank you very much,
